My Intellectual Boy

I have three boys – each very “100% boy” in their own way.  One loves challenges – he was the first of my three to figure out the monkey bars and wants to see how high he can get the swing to go before he jumps off.  Another loves dirt and exploring.  Then there’s this one.  Still very boyish, but in an intellectual kind of way.  He loves history and, when we visited Gettysburg a little bit ago, his amazing find was a bag of North vs. South army men.  Recently, he’s started setting them up in perfect battle formations, with a reason for where each soldier should go.  He wants to be president someday, this boy of mine.  I think his love of history, strategy and attention to detail will serve him well in his future career.
