Headshots and More

If you’re ever in need of some great kitchen stuff, I know a lady who can help you out with that. My friend, Angie Jensen, is a Pampered Chef Consultant here in Halifax and if you want top quality kitchen tools, she’s the lady to call (pssst – you can get in touch with her by clicking here).

We had a great time and lots of laughs doing her headshots (who knew getting the perfect “blowing flour” picture could be so hard?). And, happily, she was totally on board with doing some fun and fancy shots just for her once we got the business-side of things out of the way. Now she has the pictures she needs and a few she wants and we’ve got some more stuff to laugh about when we see each other on the playground. Need headshots? Just let me know.

Outdoors and In | Halifax Nova Scotia Senior Photographer

I was really excited when this graduating girl wanted to get senior pictures done.  Just like the grad in my last post, she was full of personality and we had lots of laughs.

We started out at the park, but when rain cut our outdoor portraits short, she was more than game to head inside (which actually worked out well, since she was freezing).   I’m still hoping to get a shot of her with her guitar, but we did manage to fit some beautiful pictures of her with her violin in before it really started to pour.

One of the great things about ending up inside, though, is that it shows that you can still get great, personal grad portraits without braving the elements.

And that something as simple as a different outfit can complete change the feel of a picture.

If you’re interested in senior/grad pictures that go beyond the cap and gown, I’d love to hear from you.  We can brave the snow or stay inside – your call.

Beautiful in Black and White

There’s just something about black and white that brings out the emotion in a picture.  I think that’s why I love the pics of this brother and sister duo in monochrome.  They’re so expressive already, and having their pictures displayed in black and white brings that out even more.  From their beautiful eyes to their adorable smiles – it just makes them even better.
